FAQ About the Assistance Ministry

TEAM provides emergency assistance with food, rent, and utilities, and can also provide limited medical, dental, prescription, and vision assistance for low income individuals.
TEAM provides emergency assistance to individuals and families residing in the Tomball zip codes, to those living within the boundaries of the Tomball Independent School District (which can include some areas in Klein, The Woodlands, Pinehurst and Decker Prairie), and to members of our sponsoring churches.
To receive assistance you must apply in person and provide a photo i.d., proof of residence, and bring a utility bill and your lease agreement if you are applying for rental assistance. You will also need to bring proof of your income, or your application for unemployment, disability, or worker’s comp. You can find more information on our assistance page.
The Resale Shop is unable to provide assistance. If you are in need of assistance, please come to the TEAM Ministry on Tuesdays from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm.
The TEAM ministry is located at 300 West Main Street, on the corner of Main Street and Cherry Street, in downtown Tomball.
We are open on Tuesdays from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm and Thursday 10:00 am - 12:00 pm. To assure that you can be seen, please arrive at least one hour prior to closing.
There is public parking on the southeast corner of Main and Cherry Streets, across from TEAM. There is also street parking on Cherry Street next to the TEAM building, as well as on Commerce Street, the first street north of Main.
TEAM operates a Resale Shop that funds the majority of the ministry’s operating costs. Additionally, TEAM has sponsoring churches that provide regular donations. Various individuals, organizations and businesses also contribute to TEAM. To a lesser degree, funding is also provided through intermittent grants.
Since TEAM’s Resale Shop covers most operating costs, over 90% of donations are used to provide assistance to those in need.
