Tomball Emergency Assistance Ministries (TEAM) was established as a nonprofit organization in 1985, when 13 Tomball churches joined together to "follow Christ's command to love and provide for those in need" in their community. What an amazing three decades! Over the years our population has grown, as have the demands for assistance. In the last fiscal year (October 2018 - September 2019), TEAM provided over $400,000 in food and financial assistance. Today we are sponsored by over 20 local churches.
What We Do
TEAM operates a resale shop, food pantry and an assistance ministry. We provide short-term assistance with food, clothing, shelter, rent and utilities, as well as medical, dental and prescription needs. TEAM is a ministry and, as such, provides assistance based on legitimate and thoroughly vetted needs. TEAM receives no government funding, yet more than 90% of all donations go directly to meet client needs. This is only possible through volunteer support, and food and financial donations from members of the Tomball community.
Lone Star College partnered with TEAM to create this video highlighting our ministry. The project was begun in 2019 but COVID interrupted its release until now. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Monte Darland and his video team for their excellent work, as well as a huge thank you to all video participants.
