The Junior Coworker Committee of Good Shepherd Episcopal Church gathered in the early hours of 23 November to bring their collection of winter coats to TEAM volunteers. Starting in October, this group of youth chose to demonstrate their understanding of the call to ‘love your neighbors’. Their efforts netted over 100 winter coats for local families.

These coats will join other coats donated from throughout the community. Collectively the donations are part of TEAM’s support of Salem Lutheran Church’s Families Feeding Families community-wide Thanksgiving celebration.

Salem has hosted this annual event since 2010. TEAM volunteers provide vouchers for winter coats to families during the event, and schedule coat pick-ups in the following weeks. Because coat pickup for this year’s vouchers is scheduled for 11 January 2025, TEAM is accepting donations through the end of December.
