Assistance Ministry

The United Way of Greater Houston and the Greater Houston Community Foundation have established the Greater Houston COVID-19 Recovery Fund to provide assistance to individuals and families that have been impacted by this pandemic but are not eligible for unemployment benefits nor will be receiving a stimulus check. TEAM is one of 30 Houston-area nonprofits that have received monies from this Fund to provide assistance with rents/mortgages or utility bills for vulnerable individuals and families. With these monies, TEAM has added financial assistance for qualifying individuals and families to our current offering of food assistance. TEAM’s current ministry hours are Tuesdays 10AM to 2PM. Individuals and families in need are invited to come to TEAM during those hours to sign-up and wait to receive food on Tuesday, or to sign-up for financial assistance. Those signing up for financial assistance will receive a phone call from TEAM within 48 hours to determine qualification for these funds and to what extent TEAM will be able to provide assistance. TEAM is located at 300 West Main Street on the corner of Cherry Street. We are thankful for this Fund and its allocation to TEAM so that we are able to extend our services to the Tomball Area during this challenging time.
